Job Overview

Taylor Root is seeking a highly skilled Risk Management Lawyer to join our team. As a Risk Management Lawyer, you will play a critical role in managing and overseeing the firm's commercial contracts with its suppliers.

The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial law, particularly in procurement, and drafting and negotiating contracts. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations and mitigating legal risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, including supplier agreements, service contracts, non-disclosure agreements, and licensing agreements
  • Review client terms and proposed amendments to the firm's terms of business, engagement terms, data protection compliance, and updating risk policies
  • Identify and assess potential risks in contracts and procurement activities and provide advice during negotiations to minimize risks
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies
  • Advise and oversee the legal aspects of the firm's procurement processes
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders and teams on contract management, procurement issues, and legal compliance

Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience in commercial law, particularly in procurement, and drafting and negotiating contracts
  • A good understanding of applicable data protection legislation
  • The successful candidate will be working in-house for a law firm or professional services firm or a fee earner looking to move to an in-house role
