Key Responsibilities- Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of Client Advisers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality services.
- Advice and Guidance: Provide advice and guidance to asylum seekers and failed asylum seekers, including assessing eligibility criteria and completing asylum support application forms.
- Operational Oversight: Monitor inboxes, respond to requests, and plan for staff workloads to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Health and Safety: Ensure the team is safe and secure at all times through robust lone working and risk assessment arrangements.
- Line Management: Conduct line management of Client Advisers, including supporting recruitment and inductions, employee development, appraisal, and supervision.
- Escalation: Be the first line of escalation for Client Advisers on complex cases, ensuring timely resolution and support for clients.
- Communication: Handle calls effectively, work in a timely manner, and ensure clients are supported appropriately.
- KPI Assurance: Support KPI assurance for the regional team, ensuring high-quality services are delivered.
- Outreach and Support: Provide outreach and face-to-face support for clients and those with additional support needs, as required.
- Team Meetings: Facilitate team meetings, including daily briefings, to ensure team members are up-to-date on matters affecting service delivery.
- Collaboration: Act as a contact with the Home Office, Social Services, Healthcare Professionals, and other relevant agencies for applicants with additional support needs.
- Case Management: Keep full, accurate, and up-to-date case records, complete case follow-up within time scales, and undertake necessary administrative tasks.
- Administrative Support: Support the Regional Manager with administrative requirements, including daily management reports, KPI data checks, and managing regional appointments.
- People Management: Demonstrable competence in a people management role, at supervisory level.
- Sensitive Situations: Working with people in sensitive and emotionally demanding situations is essential.
- Initiative and Prioritization: Proven ability to prioritize and work on your own initiative while respecting boundaries.
- Planning and Deadlines: Ability to plan, review, work, and deal with deadlines and conflicting priorities.
- Resilience: Shows resilience when faced with challenges from both work and individual clients.
- Operational Experience: Operational experience working to challenging performance KPIs.
