About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Building Surveyor to join our Asset Team at Citizen Housing. As a Building Surveyor, you will play a key role in delivering major works and investment programmes, ensuring maximum customer involvement and delivery against Key Performance Indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver disrepair processes and activities on a case-by-case basis.
  • Implementation of a systematic approach to identifying and resolving complex building defects and insurance claims across property archetypes.
  • Provide a broad range of technical services to a diverse team.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a similar role, preferably with a recognised qualification in a building related subject, such as MRICS or equivalent experience and skill level.
  • Strong understanding of regulation and contractual requirements in a housing environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to form strong connections internally as well as externally with our customers.
  • Experience in budgetary management and good analytical evaluation skills, with ability to exercise sound professional judgement and reach conclusions.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills effective for a wide range of audiences.
