Position Overview

The University of Oxford is recognized for hosting a variety of engaging and diverse gatherings.

The oversight and execution of numerous internal and external events annually is a crucial function that directly impacts the institution's public image while also serving as a vital revenue stream to support essential operations.

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Assistant Events Coordinator to collaborate closely with clients, the Events Coordinator, and the event execution team in the planning and delivery of a broad spectrum of events.

The Assistant Events Coordinator will be involved in corporate functions, internal meetings, social gatherings, conferences, weddings, and events for various university departments, art organizations, and charitable entities, in addition to aiding in the development and logistics of in-house public engagement activities.

This role necessitates a flexible work schedule, including regular evening and weekend commitments. It is a full-time, permanent role, requiring 36.5 hours of work per week. The position may involve some physical tasks, independent work, and evening hours. A satisfactory basic Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal abilities, a keen eye for detail, and demonstrable experience in leading a team to ensure the seamless operation of events at a similarly prestigious venue.
