About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Training and Skills Development Specialist to join our Training Team at the Manufacturing Technology Centre (MTC). This is an exciting opportunity to work with a world-class research and development organisation, bridging the gap between academia and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver high-quality technical training programs to small groups of learners, focusing on commercial skills development and innovation.
  • Develop and manage learning content, including custom development of material to suit a range of customer needs and individual requirements.
  • Collaborate with industry professionals to decide and implement commercial offerings, providing expert advice, guidance, and consultation.
  • Support the Commercial Training Manager in active engagement in projects and management of commercial portfolio and delivery planning.
  • Monitor and maintain the learning environment, ensuring a safe and healthy workspace for learners.
  • Work with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and associated H&S executives to ensure learner workplace health, safety, and welfare.

Requirements

  • Industry-related vocational qualifications in electrical competency.
  • Functional Skills Level 2 / GCSE's in Maths and English grade C or above.
  • Must hold BS7671 18th edition wiring regulations.
  • Desirable qualifications include recognised H&S qualifications, CAVA or equivalent assessor qualifications, recognised Training/Teaching Qualifications, and relevant training awards in modern advanced technology.
