About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy and Sustainability Specialist to join our team at McDonald's Corporation. As a key member of our Supply Chain department, you will play a critical role in driving our sustainability agenda and ensuring the long-term commercial success of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to reduce our indirect carbon footprint and promote sustainable practices across our supply chain.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and prioritize opportunities for sustainability improvement.
  • Work with external consultants and suppliers to design and deliver energy-efficient solutions and renewable energy projects.
  • Manage and optimize our energy procurement processes to ensure cost-effective and sustainable energy solutions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with our sustainability goals.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to senior leadership on sustainability performance and progress towards targets.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in sustainability and procurement, with a strong understanding of energy management and renewable energy technologies.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior leaders and external partners.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and drive business decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of sustainable sourcing principles and practices, with a strong understanding of the FMCG industry.
