About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Analyst to join our Merchants team at Spreetail. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing predictive analytics models and business insights that will drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Insights: Provide in-depth business insights behind the data, identify trends and patterns, and direct merchants to focus on business issues.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct detailed market, vendor, and channel analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Proactively challenge business owners' performance with clear actions and establish data monitoring and reporting in partnership with the Data Management team.
  • Data Management: Find ways to extract data and store it in a structured manner, display data in reporting that can be used within the Merchandising Team and with stakeholders.
  • Model Development: Help build models with data to project out long-term results or to support long-term planning.
  • Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and drive continuous improvement for Business Analytics processes and SOPs to ensure scalable and repeatable business intelligence operations.
  • Analysis and Recommendations: Provide analysis and recommendations for actions within the Merchandising team.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and maintain the pipelines for Go To Market Strategy, Lead Gen, and Sales Funnel.
  • Leadership Collaboration: Work with all leadership in the Merchandising Department to prioritize the needs of our team based on financial impact and efficiency to be gained.
  • Technical Skills: Use SQL and Power BI to access and display data.
Requirements
  • Business Acumen: Business acumen/data-driven, being able to use the data to tell a story.
  • Technical Skills: SQL/Power BI, Python/Coding, Market Research, Advanced Excel.
  • Ideal Requirements: Understand purchase order life cycle and data points associated with it, Purchasing/Buying/procurement awareness, Ecommerce & Retail Experience.
