Job Summary

We are seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Children's Nurse to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospital NHS Trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the ongoing development of our Children and Neonatal Hospital at Home Team.

Main Duties

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.

The successful candidate will also be expected to maintain accurate records, prioritize tasks, and manage their workload effectively. They will be required to work a shift system over 7 days, including weekends and bank holidays.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and qualifications:

The ideal candidate will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience in a Children's Nurse role.

Qualifications, Specific Experience & Training

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • 1st Level NMC Registration
  • Evidence of professional development
  • Act as a practice supervisor
  • Will to undertake practice assessor training
  • Relevant degree or willingness to register to work towards degree
  • Relevant or willingness to undertake relevant module/course
  • Suitable for newly qualified or experienced staff nurse
  • Experience of maintaining accurate records
  • Relevant clinical knowledge and experience

The ideal candidate will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and will be able to demonstrate their skills and experience in a Children's Nurse role.
