About the Role

The Aurora Group is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Housekeeping Assistant to join our team on a casual basis. As a Housekeeping Assistant, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Main Responsibilities

  • Dusting and polishing surfaces to a high standard
  • Maintaining clean and sanitary kitchen areas, including cleaning equipment and supplies
  • Vacuuming and washing floors to ensure a clean and safe environment
  • Tidying up rooms and common areas, including disposing of waste and recycling
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies and ordering more as needed
  • Reporting any necessary repairs or maintenance issues
  • Keeping bathrooms stocked and clean, including restocking toilet paper and soap

Requirements

  • Experience of using equipment and materials in situations where care is needed to prevent harm to others
  • Understanding of key aspects of Health and Safety legislation for cleaning
  • Experience of cleaning a variety of surfaces, including floors, walls, and furniture
  • High standards, attention to detail, reliability, and a positive work ethic
  • Experience and/or knowledge of disability and disability issues would be an advantage
  • Positive and proactive demeanor
