Position: Supply Chain Circularity & Materials Manager

Role Responsibilities:
In this position, you will spearhead the creation and execution of a supply chain circularity initiative, reinforcing our commitments under Primark Cares, enhancing waste management strategies, and promoting textile-to-textile recycling methods.

Your role will involve collaboration with various stakeholders to advance sustainable practices throughout our global supply chain. Key responsibilities include:
- Strategic Development & Implementation: Collaborate with stakeholders to formulate and execute a circularity strategy focused on post-industrial waste.
- Waste Management Initiatives: Design and implement a waste management program that complies with regulatory standards.
- Textile Recycling Strategy: Develop and execute a strategy for textile-to-textile recycling.
- Integration and Target Achievement: Incorporate new strategies into sourcing and sustainability initiatives with measurable objectives.
- Innovation & Capability Enhancement: Investigate technical solutions and improve capabilities for global application.
- Materials Knowledge: Guide the advancement of Primark's Microfiber strategy and establish relevant materials policies.
Engage with various teams and stakeholders, including:
- Government affairs on legislative matters
- Identifying synergies with broader sustainability initiatives
- Key teams such as Primark Cares, sourcing, and compliance
- Industry associations and partners
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in Materials
- Technical knowledge in textiles, manufacturing, and chemistry
- Preferred professional certification
- Demonstrated experience in developing sustainability initiatives
- Proven ability to drive innovation and change within large organizations
