Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Advisor to join our team in Cardiff, Wales. As an HSE Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with local and international regulations, implementing robust health and safety measures, and fostering a safety-centric culture within our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs for compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and develop corrective action plans.
- Provide expert guidance on EHS matters and promote a safety culture within the organization.
- Deliver training programs to enhance EHS awareness and knowledge among employees.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans to prevent future occurrences.
- Monitor EHS performance metrics and report to management on a regular basis.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest regulations and industry standards, and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Conduct audits to address non-compliance issues and maintain accurate records of EHS activities.
- Assist in developing emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
- Participate in EHS committees and engage with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance and best practices.
- UK-based EHS professional with hands-on experience in CDM, RAMS, inspections, and investigations.
- Strong construction background and a minimum of 4+ years of EHS experience, preferably in the data center or construction industries.
- Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety, environmental science, or a related field.
- In-depth understanding of local, state, and federal HSE regulations and a proven track record of developing and implementing HSE programs, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and people management abilities.
- Certified Safety Professional, ISO, NEBOSH, or equivalent certification.
