Band 5 Patient Pathway Coordinator

The Neurosciences Department is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to support the day-to-day operations of the Neurosurgery administrative team and patient journey pathways. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with the Patient Pathway Manager to ensure excellent patient experience and implement evidence-based changes to pathways. Effective communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure are essential for this role. This is a rewarding and dynamic position that requires a strong work ethic and the ability to lead a team.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Pathway Supervisor will be responsible for supervising and supporting Patient Pathway Co-ordinators and Patient Pathway Administrators, ensuring high-quality patient experience and contributing to service development. Key responsibilities include improving access to information, responding to patient enquiries, and maintaining a comprehensive and efficient patient pathway service. The successful candidate will also provide a contact point for administrative staff and take the initiative to resolve problems and escalate major issues to the Patient Pathway Manager.
Requirements- Knowledge of patient referral to treatment times and experience of monitoring patient pathways
- Knowledge of NHS HR processes
- Experience working in a Neurosurgery Unit
- Involvement in managing change
- Theatre management knowledge
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

Salary: £34,521 to £41,956 per annum inclusive
