National Locums is seeking a highly skilled Microbiologist Consultant to join our team on a locum basis.

About the Role:

We are looking for a Medical Microbiology Specialist to cover a Consultant position in a hospital based in West London.

The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical microbiology and be able to work independently as well as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance on microbiological matters to medical and nursing staff.
  • Conduct laboratory tests and investigations to diagnose and manage infections.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the management of infections.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure effective infection control practices.

Requirements:

  • 5 days a week with on call 1 in 3.
  • Days Mon – Fri 0900-1700.
  • On Calls Mon – Fri 17.00 – 0900.
  • On Call Weekends 0800 to 0800 24hr cover.

Accommodation: Good accommodation can be arranged.

Pay: Negotiable pay rates, depending on experience, PAYE payment model preferred.
