Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dispensing Optician to join our team at Health Care Personnel. As a key member of our optical department, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of patient satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prescription Interpretation: Accurately interpret optical prescriptions to ensure accurate lens selection and fitting.
- Customer Consultation: Provide expert advice to patients on lens type, frames, and styling to meet their individual needs.
- Contact Lens Fitting: Fit contact lenses and provide care advice to patients, with further training and support as needed.
- Measurement and Fitting: Take precise measurements for correct fit and positioning of lenses and frames.
- Low Vision Aids: Advise partially sighted patients on the selection and use of low vision aids to enhance their visual experience.
- Product Management: Select, manage, and order optical products to meet the needs of our patients and the business.
- Display and Liaison: Maintain shop displays and liaise with suppliers to ensure a seamless and efficient service.
- Training and Development: Supervise and train trainee dispensing opticians to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to excel in their role.
Additional Responsibilities:
As a practice manager, you will also be responsible for recruitment, staff training, meeting sales targets, and business development to drive the success of our optical department.
