We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team at Reed in Colchester. As an HR Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the day-to-day operations of our HR department, ensuring the smooth delivery of administrative tasks and staff wellbeing initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform a range of administrative tasks to support the HR department, including data entry, document management, and record-keeping.
- Assist in organizing and documenting disciplinary meetings, ensuring all necessary procedures are followed.
- Support the administration of staff benefits platforms, ensuring employees have access to the necessary resources.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding processes, including right-to-work checks and DBS applications, to ensure a seamless employee experience.
- Schedule and coordinate training sessions for employees, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR systems, ensuring all employee information is current and compliant.
- Assist with the collection and preparation of payroll data, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Contribute to group reporting by preparing HR-related reports and presentations, providing valuable insights to inform business decisions.
Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- CIPD level 2/3 qualification or equivalent experience in HR.
- 2 years of experience in an HR Generalist role, with a proven track record of delivering administrative support and staff wellbeing initiatives.
- Experience in using HR systems and payroll software, with a strong understanding of data management and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with employees and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite, with a strong understanding of data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong sense of initiative and a willingness to learn and develop.
