We are seeking experienced and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support the education and well-being of pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs at our partner school in Hastings.

The school is part of an Ofsted 'outstanding' multi-academy trust and offers a nurturing, inclusive environment for pupils with SEMH and associated needs. Our team aims to deliver outstanding education and care, focusing on building resilience and improving emotional, academic, vocational, and physical skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide support for pupils with SEMH needs, ensuring their safety and access to learning activities.
  • Set challenging expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Provide feedback to pupils on progress and achievement under the guidance of the teacher.
  • Assist with planning learning activities and monitor pupils' responses.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour and deal with incidents in line with established policy.

Requirements:

  • Devotion and resilience to support children with SEMH needs.
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs is desirable.
  • Ability to motivate students towards high achievement.
  • Commitment to fulfilling the needs of pupils experiencing behavioural, emotional, or learning difficulties.
