The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and aesthetically pleasing environment for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain various power lawn mowers, edgers, hand tools, and vehicles essential for grounds maintenance and landscaping projects.
  • Manage and oversee the upkeep of water sprinkler systems and time clocks to ensure efficient irrigation.
  • Care for landscape areas, including flower beds, removing debris from walkways and stairs, raking leaves, and ensuring parking lots are free of litter.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to guarantee optimal functionality and prevent breakdowns.
  • Collaborate with the Facilities Maintenance Crew on preventative maintenance tasks and work orders to ensure a well-maintained campus.
  • Assist in snow removal operations during winter months as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of various lawn care equipment and maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
