About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Housing Support Worker to join our team at Joshua Robert Recruitment. As a Housing Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with complex needs, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit properties regularly to conduct support sessions with service users, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Assist clients in accessing benefits and housing pathways, and signpost them to local agencies and service providers.
- Support clients in managing their income and tenancy sustainment, ensuring properties are maintained to a high standard.
- Provide emotional support and monitor the well-being of clients living in supported housing services.
- Collaborate with contractors to maintain properties and assist in the turnaround of void properties.
Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle, with business/commercial insurance.
- Experience in supporting clients with complex needs.
- Proactive and able to use initiative to manage a caseload.
- Previous experience or knowledge of social/supported housing processes.
- Ability to support others in tenancy sustainment and income management.
- Enhanced DBS (on update service) Adults & Children.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Relevant training in housing or health and social care.
- Over 3 years' experience in a relevant position, such as Support Worker.
- Understanding of housing law and framework relevant to those with complex needs.
