About the Role:

SitePoint Pty is seeking an experienced AWS Infrastructure Specialist to join their team on a contract basis. As an Infrastructure SME, you will be responsible for working closely with the Cloud teams to ensure a secure strategy for cloud migrations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Server Estate Mapping: Map and understand our server estate (on-premises and colo) to identify areas for improvement and optimize infrastructure performance.
  2. Datacentre Architecture: Oversee Datacentre architecture, operations, and security to ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices.
  3. Incident Escalations: Participate in on-call incident escalations and root cause analysis to resolve technical issues promptly and efficiently.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with managed service partners and engineers to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure solutions.
  5. Communication: Communicate infrastructure solutions to both technical and non-technical employees to ensure effective understanding and adoption.
  6. Cloud Migrations: Work closely with Cloud teams to ensure a secure strategy for cloud migrations and minimize downtime.
  7. Change Roadmaps: Lead assignments and influence stakeholders to define and deliver change roadmaps that align with business objectives.

Qualifications:

  1. Education: Degree level education or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
  2. Technical Qualifications: Technical qualifications/certifications within area(s) of expertise, such as AWS, Windows, and Linux Server administration.
  3. Experience: Extensive experience in system administration of Windows & Linux Servers, with a strong focus on cloud infrastructure and virtualization technologies.
  4. Expertise: Expertise in cloud infrastructure, particularly AWS, and strong knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.
  5. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  6. Pressure Management: Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative environment.
