Role Responsibilities:

The Data Strategy, Capability, and Oversight Team (DSCO) plays a pivotal role in the transformation initiatives within our organization. This team is tasked with defining our strategic direction regarding data management, including the establishment of future operational frameworks. Additionally, we ensure compliance with legal standards in data handling, from acquisition to disposal.

This position is situated within the DSCO Hub, a compact team that provides essential PMO-style support. Our responsibilities include reinforcing internal structures and governance, fostering team development, and enhancing our organizational culture to create an appealing work environment. The Hub also manages administrative tasks related to event coordination, meeting facilitation, and broader team support.

The primary focus of this role is to establish a dedicated risk management function, overseeing the DSCO risk register and promoting a robust risk culture within the team.

Key Duties:

  • Formulate and execute the DSCO risk strategy, ensuring alignment with overarching risk management frameworks.
  • Oversee the daily management of the DSCO risk register, including the identification, documentation, monitoring, and reporting of risks and issues, with appropriate escalation as necessary.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on risk management, providing guidance to colleagues on best practices.
  • Participate in relevant risk forums as directed by the Hub lead.
  • Facilitate the development and transfer of risk management knowledge and skills within the team.

Candidate Profile:

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • A solid background in risk management within a project or PMO context.
  • Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret data and formulate actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to produce clear and concise documentation under tight deadlines.
  • Outstanding organizational abilities, capable of prioritizing tasks and delivering high-quality results amidst competing demands.
  • Adaptability to work effectively in dynamic environments, demonstrating a proactive and flexible approach to responsibilities.
  • Self-driven, organized, and capable of working independently with minimal oversight.
