We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Academic Professional to join our team at University College of Estate Management (UCEM). As a Senior Lecturer in Renewable Energy, Engineering, and the Environment, you will play a key role in enhancing our academic presence in teaching and research, while further developing our sustainability agenda and curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver, develop, and monitor the performance of postgraduate and/or undergraduate modules within a specific subject discipline.
- Provide high-quality learning, teaching, and assessment to students.
- Demonstrate a commitment to personal and professional development through scholarly activity, research, industry liaison, and engagement with UCEM staff development activities.
- Support the development and launch of new programmes, including a new post-graduate programme.
About the Role:
This is a key academic position within the School of the Built Environment at UCEM. As a Senior Lecturer, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students. You will also contribute to the development of new programmes and modules, and engage in scholarly activity and research.
Requirements:
- Able to support the development and launch of new programmes, most specifically a new post-graduate programme.
- Ideal candidate will have a blend of industry and academic experience, although we would be particularly keen to hear from experienced construction quantity surveyors or construction managers looking to move into teaching and research.
- Cert HE/L4 Building Services Engineering Senior Technician (proposed launch Autumn 2026)
- Cert HE/L4 BEMS (Building Energy Management Systems) Controls Engineer (proposed launch Autumn 2026)
