Finance Business Partner (12 Month Fixed Term Contract or Permanent)

Role Purpose:
• Provide strategic financial support to the Commercial Finance Team

• Collaborate with Senior Finance Manager on ad-hoc projects

• Serve as a trusted business partner to the Technology department, delivering value-added decision support and insights

• Lead financial planning and analysis for strategically important business initiatives, ensuring clear visibility into progress towards business and financial targets

• Develop and manage the annual budget and re-forecasts for Technology

• Continuously monitor financial risks and opportunities, providing robust analysis and recommendations

• Analyze and present financial data to senior stakeholders, ensuring accurate and timely reporting

• Provide financial guidance and support to business partners on a wide range of ad-hoc queries

• Work closely with Financial Accounts to ensure month-end processes are accurate and efficient

• Drive business change initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance business performance

• Collaborate with HR to improve visibility into overall resource levels, providing clear reporting to senior management

• Perform ad-hoc analysis and support business partnering across all cost areas

Key Responsibilities:
• Serve as a trusted business partner to the Technology business area, providing financial analysis, advice, and proactive support

• Collaborate with Senior Finance Manager on ad-hoc projects

• Drive improvements in reporting, processes, and system utilization

• Manage the reporting of overheads, challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance

• Review team structures and vacancies, ensuring managers remain within approved budgets

• Ensure accurate cost reporting at month-end

• Prepare the annual budget and re-forecasts for Technology, working closely with team managers to understand team structures and resource requirements

• Provide financial leadership on key business projects, ensuring adherence to financial governance and preparing business cases for senior management

• Provide quality ad-hoc and regular analysis to inform management decisions

• Work closely with HR to ensure accurate headcount reporting, presenting a clear picture to senior management

• Proactively identify opportunities to challenge current processes and assumptions

• Build strong relationships across the finance team and wider business

• Drive and implement the business change agenda, focusing on simplification and agile working, and sharing best practices across the organization

Key Skills and Experience:
• Advanced Excel and system skills, with BPC (SAP Business Planning and Consolidation) experience preferred

• Proactive self-starter, able to work in a fast-paced environment
