Job Summary

Cooper Lomaz Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Production Operative/Engineer to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating a range of manual and CNC-based machinery to process steel to customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate manual and CNC-based machinery to process steel to customer specifications, ensuring high-quality products and efficient production processes.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, orders, and verbal instructions to ensure accurate processing and delivery of products.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets, maintain a safe working environment, and adhere to company quality and safety standards.
  • Perform daily equipment checks, report any faults or issues to the Production Supervisor or Maintenance Manager, and participate in training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Load and offload plate and parts from plasma and laser machines, and maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficient production processes.
  • Identify and locate different steel products using measuring equipment, and report any discrepancies or issues to the Production Supervisor or Quality Manager.
  • Actively engage in health and safety initiatives, report any accidents or incidents, and participate in risk assessments and procedural amendments to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Follow company quality management systems, policies, and procedures to achieve a quality product and reduce non-conformances.
  • Contribute to the company's environmental management system by reducing waste and implementing sustainable practices.
