Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Paralegal to join our Public Law & Human Rights Department at Bindmans LLP. As a Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our team of lawyers in handling a wide range of judicial review and general public law work, as well as some planning and environmental cases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handling new enquiries and assisting fee earners with case preparation
  • File administration, preparing and managing funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency
  • Undertaking legal research, preparing draft documents, including witness statements and schedules
  • Drafting aspects of advice, processing evidence, preparing, collating and ordering documentation
  • Attending conferences with clients and counsel and attending court hearings

Requirements

  • Highly motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic individual with excellent writing, communication, organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to undertake research, process and analyse complex information
  • Flexible and professional attitude, with an ability to work on confidential matters and under pressure
  • Keen eye for detail and commitment to providing a high standard of service to our clients, many of whom are vulnerable
