We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to join our team at Pioneering People, a well-established and reputable manufacturing company based in the Wirral area. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for managing internal production teams, ensuring efficient production processes, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Management: Manage internal production teams in conjunction with Team Leaders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Production Planning: Liaise with Engineering, Warehouse, and Planning departments to ensure continuous efficient production, meeting customer demands and company objectives.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure compliance to company quality accreditations, including ISO and GMP, and Health and Safety procedures, maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Training and Development: Train Team Leaders and Production Operatives in line with Standard Operating Procedures and Policies, empowering employees to take responsibility for their roles and goals.
  • Performance Monitoring: Review the performance of Team Leaders and Production Staff functions, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Conduct accurate and methodical interim stock checks as required by Stock Control, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing stock discrepancies.
  • Recruitment and Selection: Work with the HR function to recruit, interview, select, hire, and employ the appropriate number of employees, ensuring a skilled and motivated workforce.
  • Agency Staff Management: Manage and control the use of agency staff in an efficient manner, ensuring adequate staffing levels and minimizing agency costs.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar Production Manager role, with significant experience of managing a team of Production Operators.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to recruit, train, and develop a team of production operators.
  • Culture Change: Ability to deliver an in-house culture change programme, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
