Network Open is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Optometrist to join our growing team of healthcare professionals. We provide essential eye care services to residents in nursing and care homes across Essex.

As a Domiciliary Optometrist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of elderly and infirm patients. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive eye examinations, diagnosing and managing ocular conditions, and providing personalized treatment plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform thorough eye examinations on residents in nursing and care homes.
  • Diagnose and treat a range of eye conditions, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic retinopathy.
  • Prescribe corrective lenses and other appropriate treatments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
  • Collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Registered Optometrist with a valid license to practice in the UK.
  • Excellent clinical skills and a patient-centered approach.
  • Experience working with elderly and infirm patients is highly desirable.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
