About This Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electronic PCB Test Engineer to join our dynamic team for a six-month contract. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the quality and reliability of our electronic assemblies.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough testing of electronic assemblies using standard lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, and power supplies.
  • Meticulously identify and document any failures or issues encountered during testing. Collaborate with the electronics engineering team to develop effective solutions.
  • Leverage basic hardware and software tools to streamline and automate testing processes. This may involve utilizing USB-I2C or USB-UART adapters, along with command-line scripts.
  • Design and implement prototype PCB test jigs that can be seamlessly transitioned to production testing environments.
  • Produce comprehensive design documentation to facilitate the procurement and construction of test equipment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
  • Proven experience in testing PCBs at the component level.
  • Familiarity with ECAD software, ideally Altium Designer.
  • Experience with automation software such as C or Python would be highly advantageous.
