Londinium Recruitment is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a highly successful Main Contractor based in the South East. As an Estimator, you will play a key role in the commercial team, working on a wide range of projects including residential, commercial, retail, leisure, education, and healthcare.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of tenders, including gathering information and requirements, setting priorities, and evaluating offers to purchase.
  • Preparation of construction budgets, including studying design information, updating specifications, and identifying and projecting costs for each element of the project.
  • Evaluation of bids from vendors and subcontractors, including specifying materials, identifying qualified subcontractors, and negotiating prices.
  • Tender reviews, analysis, and presentations.
  • Maintenance of cost keys and price masters, including updating relevant information and resolving cost discrepancies.
  • Preparation of tender reports, including collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
  • Maintenance of quality service, including following organization standards and maintaining continuity among corporate, division, and local work teams.
  • Contribution to team effort, including accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Supporting the commercial team and regular review of the supply chain.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years' experience working with a Main Contractor on a variety of projects.
  • Ability to bring in new contacts to the company.
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Enthusiastic and charismatic personality.
