Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Engineer to join our team at Switchgear Engineering Services Ltd. As a Commissioning Engineer, you will be responsible for the commissioning and testing of electrical switchgear and substations, ensuring that they meet the required safety and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Commission and test electrical switchgear and substations, including primary injection testing, insulation resistance testing, and fault finding.
  • Lead the commissioning process, ensuring that all testing is completed to the required standards.
  • Provide technical assistance to customers and colleagues, including reading wiring diagrams and interpreting test results.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure that all aspects of the commissioning process are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, including safety protocols and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in electrical engineering, with a focus on commissioning and testing.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering principles and practices, including safety protocols and industry standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and test results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and colleagues.
  • Full driving license and ability to travel to customer sites.
