Job Title: Parkinson's Specialist Practitioner

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic nurse or allied health care professional to join our Parkinson's Service as a Parkinson's Specialist Practitioner.

The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills and relevant experience to deliver high-quality, specialist care to people with Parkinson's. They will work closely with Neurologists, Older People's Services Consultants, Pharmacists, General Practitioners, Therapists, Social Services, and voluntary groups to enhance the care and improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson's.

The post is currently based at both Poole and Christchurch sites with clinics also held at Wimborne and Swanage hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide a weekday service to people with Parkinson's
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to enhance care and improve quality of life
  • Develop and implement service improvements to meet the needs of people with Parkinson's
Requirements:
  • Professional registration with relevant professional body
  • Relevant post-graduate specialist course or evidence of training around treatment/support for patients with long-term conditions
  • Advanced communication/counseling courses
  • Management and/or leadership course relevant to healthcare environment
Working Arrangements:

Full-time, Part-time

£46,148 to £52,809 a year pro rata/per annum
