Job Title: Senior AV Analyst

Join the University of Stirling's AV team as a Senior AV Analyst, where you will play a key role in supporting the development and maintenance of our AudioVisual facilities across the campus.

About the Role

The Senior AV Analyst will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise in the design, implementation, and maintenance of AV systems, including teaching rooms, lecture theatres, meeting rooms, and social study spaces.

You will work closely with the AV Team Leader and other stakeholders to ensure that our AV facilities are monitored, supported, and maintained to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the IT support function for AV related incidents and service requests
  • Support the AV Team Leader in the continuous development and improvement of AV services and facilities
  • Communicate effectively with users, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarity at all times
  • Maintain accurate records in the ITSM platform and other systems or databases
  • Contribute to the operations of the IT Service Desk, including taking the lead on AV issues and supporting Service Desk colleagues
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Substantial technical AV knowledge and a wide-ranging understanding of all types of AV equipment relevant to their duties
  • Experience of providing technical support during teaching and conference events, or similar
  • Working knowledge of basic network services and protocols relevant to modern AV systems, including AVOIP
  • Demonstrable experience of writing formal documentation, including user support materials, and of communicating across a broad range of channels
  • Experience of delivering excellent customer service
Desirable Criteria

Relevant qualifications or certifications, such as Control system programming (Crestron), Dante level 3, or Avixa CTS qualification, would be advantageous.

Experience of working in a second-line AV support role, with a helpdesk ticketing system, digital signage system, or in Higher Education, would also be beneficial.
