About the Role:
Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a skilled Housing Officer to join the teams of Birmingham City Council, Sandwell Council, Coventry Council, and Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council on a full-time, temporary basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver a responsive and customer-focused service to those affiliated with the local authority.
- Ensure all Housing Schemes are administered appropriately and within legislative requirements.
- Provide expert advice in regard to the housing registration process to a range of stakeholders.
- Conduct investigations and ensure decisions are made in compliance with relevant service policies and legislation.
- Help ensure nomination agreements are being administered in full accordance with the terms agreed.
Requirements:
- A full driver's license and own vehicle.
- Business insurance to be added to your insurance policy.
- A background in Social Housing, preferably as a Housing Officer, Neighbourhood Officer, or Homelessness Officer.
- Knowledge of Legislation and Part 6 and 7 of the Housing Act.
What You'll Get:
- Full-time, temporary roles based in Birmingham.
- Usually a 3-month ongoing contract.
- An hourly rate of pay £12, with some roles offering an uplift to £13.20 after 13 weeks on assignment.
