Opportunity
We are looking for a talented and innovative Espresso Machine Engineer to join our technical team. This position is ideal for an experienced individual with a strong passion for coffee technology and exceptional problem-solving skills.
Job Purpose
The Espresso Machine Engineer will oversee the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of espresso machines. This role is vital for ensuring the optimal performance of coffee equipment, which is essential for delivering a consistent and high-quality coffee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and configure new espresso machines at various locations.
- Perform preventive maintenance checks on all espresso machines monthly.
- Ensure machines operate at peak performance, adhering to quality standards.
- Respond promptly to machine breakdowns to minimize service disruption.
- Diagnose and repair machine malfunctions efficiently.
- Reduce average machine downtime through effective troubleshooting.
- Maintain an inventory of spare parts and tools for quick repairs.
- Provide detailed reports on repairs and maintenance activities.
- Build positive relationships with clients through effective communication and reliable service.
Qualifications
Education:
A high school diploma or technical training in electrical or mechanical engineering is preferred.
Technical Skills:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
- Extensive knowledge of espresso machines, including brands like La Marzocco and Victoria Arduino.
- Fluency in English.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with a commitment to outstanding customer service.
- Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Experience:
3-5 years of experience in a technical or mechanical role, preferably with espresso machines or similar equipment.
