Senior Contracts and Procurement Lawyer Role

Sellick Partnership is proud to be working with an exceptional legal services team in the heart of Bedfordshire. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Contracts and Procurement Lawyer to join the commercial legal team at Luton Borough Council to provide expert advice and representation to the Council in all areas of Contracts and Procurement law.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a brilliant opportunity to develop their specialism with the support of like-minded people and an experienced team around them. The role will involve delivering comprehensive professional legal advice to various council departments on complex commercial matters, procurement matters, and bespoke commercial arrangements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as a legal advisor to client organisations
  • Manage a portfolio of cases, including acting as legal lead on significant procurements and drafting contracts on behalf of clients
  • Develop and maintain expertise in Contracts and Procurement law, with opportunities for professional development and career progression
Requirements
  • Qualified Solicitor, barrister, or FCILEx with 6 years+ PQE
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to provide expert advice and representation
