At JD Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to lead our 60,000-strong logistics team across 3,400 stores in over 30 markets worldwide. As a key member of our Senior Leadership Team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring the highest levels of safety and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies that drive business growth and improvement
  • Lead a team of 4-5 thousand people in peak periods, ensuring operational excellence and high levels of customer service
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business change and improvement
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures, including health and safety, quality, and technical standards
  • Develop and implement initiatives to improve operational processes and reduce costs
  • Manage budgets and resources to achieve business objectives

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a complex fast-paced retail or FMCG logistics environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to influence and gain support for complex and challenging logistics projects
  • Self-motivated with high levels of organisational skills to ensure business objectives are achieved in a varying and fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Financial and commercial awareness, linking operational actions to financial impacts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with people across all levels
  • Confident and articulate, leading by example through knowledge, experience, and personal style
