Cloud Infrastructure Specialist - £55,000

Oscar Technology is seeking a highly skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join their team in Stoke. As a leading MSP, they are at the forefront of technology and are looking to use a large round of investment to bring in top talent to their ranks.

The Role

  • Design and deploy VMware and Hyper-V to meet the demands of the business.
  • Implement and manage virtual environments, including VM's, Networks and Storage.
  • Carry out regular maintenance tasks such as patches and updates to ensure the security and stability of the virtual infrastructure.
  • Act as the escalation point for 2nd and 3rd line engineers for any issues related to virtualisation.
  • Ensure that best practices are kept within virtual environments, including encryption and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Expertise in Hyper-V, VMware and vSphere.
  • Cloud experience, ideally with Azure.
  • A strong understanding of different virtualisation concepts, such as hypervisors, VM management and Network Virtualisation.
  • Ability to script and automate using Python or Powershell.
  • UKSV SC Clearance, which requires being a UK National or having been a resident for 5+ years.
