About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at Sulis Hospital, a leading provider of private and NHS healthcare services. As a key member of our anaesthetic department, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide expert anaesthetic care to patients undergoing a range of surgical procedures, including high-volume, same-day cases
  • Work collaboratively with other consultants, clinical unit managers, nurses, and colleagues to manage caseloads and achieve clinical priorities
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of anaesthetic services, including the growth of complex patient cases with higher comorbidities
  • Participate in clinical leadership and take on additional responsibilities for medical leadership of our theatres, day surgery unit, inpatient unit, pre-op assessment services, and other areas
Person Specification
  • Full registration with the GMC and included on the Specialist Register
  • FRCA or equivalent qualification
  • CCT or CESR
  • Higher degree and postgraduate certificates
  • Extensive experience and training in the specialty, with a focus on short-stay, high-volume cases and same-day arthroplasties
