Job Title: Accounts & Tax Manager

TPF Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Accounts & Tax Manager to join a dynamic and growing firm of accountants in North Kent. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership role and contribute to the success of the practice.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a portfolio of clients, including limited companies, sole traders, partnerships, and individuals, providing expert advice on accounts and tax matters.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of client service delivery, including preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts, bookkeeping, VAT, and CIS.
  • Liaise with clients on accounts and tax issues, providing clear and concise advice and guidance.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, maintaining regular communication and ensuring their needs are met.
  • Review and resolve issues with work completed by junior team members, ensuring high-quality submissions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Develop and motivate junior members of staff, contributing to the overall success of the practice.
Requirements:
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent, with at least 2-3 years of post-qualification experience.
  • Proven experience of working in a practice environment, with a strong understanding of accounts and tax regulations.
  • Experience in managing a client portfolio, with a track record of establishing and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Proficient in using cloud-based accounting software packages, such as Sage, Xero, and QuickBooks.
  • Desirable experience of TaxCalc or similar accountancy software.
Benefits:

A competitive salary of £50,000 - £60,000, dependent on experience and background, plus benefits including pension, parking, holiday allowance, and bonus.
