Specialist Doctor in Anaesthetics (2 x Full-Time Posts)

Permanent, Full-Time - 40 hours per week

Salary Scale: £88,118 - £100,011 (pro rata if part-time)

We are seeking two highly skilled Specialist Doctors to join our Anaesthetic Department in NHS Forth Valley. As a key member of our team, you will contribute to delivering high-quality anaesthetic services to our patients.

Our hospital is situated in the heart of Scotland, offering a unique blend of natural beauty and vibrant cultural attractions. You will have the opportunity to work with a close-knit team of anaesthetists, who share a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

The post holder will work within our Anaesthesia Team, which includes Consultants, Associate Specialists, Specialty Doctors, Anaesthesia Associates, and trainees. You will be responsible for providing a comprehensive anaesthetic service, including obstetric, critical care, and emergency anaesthetic services.

We value your skills and experience and will work towards accommodating any subspecialty interest you may have. You must have the capability to deliver and support trainees and other members of the Anaesthesia Team.

The Anaesthesia Team supports a wide range of surgical specialties, including orthopaedic surgery, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, maxillofacial surgery, ENT, and breast surgery. We are committed to delivering high-quality evidence-based care to every patient.

To be successful in this role, you will need excellent communication, listening, and organisational skills. You must have full GMC registration and a licence to practise, with a minimum of 10 years' post-registration experience, at least 6 of which will be in Anaesthesia at Specialist Trainee level. You will also need evidence of recent continued academic and professional development.
