About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Trainee Technician. As a key member of our technical support team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional service to our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support and assistance to our users, ensuring that they receive timely and effective solutions to their technical issues.
  • Collaborate with our technical team to identify and resolve technical problems, and implement process improvements to enhance our services.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of our technical systems and infrastructure, and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends.
  • Work closely with our training team to develop and deliver training programs for our users, and provide guidance and support to help them develop their technical skills.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of our technical policies and procedures, and ensure that they are aligned with our organizational goals and objectives.
Requirements
  • Five GCSEs at least Grade C or level four (or equivalent) including English Language and Mathematics or equivalent experience.
  • Good spoken and written communication skills.
  • Basic digital skills including the ability to use the internet and email.
  • Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
  • Experience of working in a team.
  • Experience of managing time to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to follow instructions, spoken or written, accurately.
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Experience of working in a customer-focused technical service.
  • Familiarity with computer programming/software development.
