Scotland, United Kingdom NHS Highland Full time
Job Opportunity: Health and Social Care Support Worker

NHS Highland is committed to promoting equality and diversity among our workforce and eliminating unlawful discrimination. Our goal is to have a truly representative workforce where each employee feels respected and valued.

We are seeking a Health and Social Care Support Worker to join our Care at Home Team in Lochaber. The successful candidate will work effectively to support care, promoting optimum achievable self-care and enabling clients to remain in their own homes. Our team aims to expand the service to include reablement/rehabilitation, reducing the need for acute hospital admission and enabling patients to return home sooner.

The post holder will be expected to adhere to NHS Highland policies and procedures, as well as relevant local and national standards. Confidentiality is paramount, and the successful candidate will be required to maintain confidentiality at all times.

We encourage applicants to demonstrate their commitment to continuing professional development, undertaking relevant activities to meet training objectives identified through supervision. This includes the essential completion of SVQ Health and Social Care Level 3 and registration with the SSSC.

This role involves working within a rota system, including flexible, unsociable hours and weekend working. The post holder will be expected to work throughout the Lochaber region with flexibility. A current UK driving licence and use of a personal vehicle for work purposes are essential.
