Everest People Solutions is collaborating with a leading independent food manufacturing company in the UK to recruit several multi-skilled engineers for various shifts. The organization specializes in processing beef and lamb, and is seeking proficient engineers to join their production team in both retail production and abattoir/boning hall environments. This role is set in a dynamic workplace where meeting targets and adhering to customer specifications is essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute scheduled maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs within production areas.
- Experience with three-phase systems: motors, wiring, inverters, etc.
- Assist Engineering and Production operations as necessary.
- Relocate and reinstall machinery as required.
- Conduct machine changeovers and setups.
- Complete necessary check sheets.
- Coordinate with external contractors when needed.
- Foster effective working relationships with key personnel on site.
- Guide and mentor engineers with specialized skills.
- Comply with company policies, procedures, and health and safety regulations.
Candidate Requirements
- Multi-skilled engineers with both electrical and mechanical expertise.
- Demonstrated experience in a multi-skilled engineering role.
- Recognized engineering qualifications, such as the 17th Edition.
- Comfortable working in a meat processing setting.
- Ability to work independently and proactively, utilizing initiative to resolve issues.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working hours, with willingness to work additional hours as needed to fulfill business requirements.
