Opportunity for a Seasoned Lawyer

We are seeking an experienced lawyer with private credit and/or debt, leveraged finance experience to join our team at Marsden on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in transactional law and be able to advise on complex financial matters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Transaction Advisory: Provide expert advice on private debt, private equity, real estate, and infrastructure transactions, including direct investments, fund investments, co-investments, divestitures, financing, and take-private transactions.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that business activities and proposed investments are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Commercial Contracts: Advise on commercial contracts, including GDPR, AML, and other regulatory matters.
  • External Counsel: Instruct external counsel when required.

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of post-qualification experience (PQE) as a guide, preferably with training in the finance practice of a highly regarded firm and subsequent in-house experience in a similar role.
  • High level of technical knowledge concerning relevant transactional matters and related documentation.
