Job Title: Building Control Surveyor

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Control Surveyor to join our team at ATS Recruitment. As a Building Control Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that buildings are constructed and converted in accordance with building regulations.

About the Role:

As a Building Control Surveyor, you will be responsible for inspecting buildings under construction and/or conversion, working closely with developers and builders to ensure compliance with building regulations. You will also be responsible for plan checking, self-managing your workload, and recording inspection details on our database.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspecting buildings under construction and/or conversion
  • Plan checking to ensure compliance with building regulations
  • Self-managing your workload to provide a responsive and professional service
  • Recording inspection details on our database
  • Liaising with surveyors and management on technical matters
  • Providing technical advice and guidance to developers, clients, and builders
Requirements:
  • Registered with RICS or awaiting an interview for level 2-3
  • Excellent communication and technical skills
  • Full member or near chartership of professional organisations such as RICS, CIOB, or CIC
  • 5 years of relevant building control experience
  • Knowledge of building regulations, associated legislation, and construction standards
