About the Role
As a key member of the Michael Page Finance team, you will report directly to the Mergers and Acquisitions Director and provide critical support on all M&A matters from deal origination to completion. This newly created role is designed to support the continued growth of our business as we embark on another period of expansion.
About the Client
Our client is a Private Equity-backed business that has experienced rapid growth over the last 18 months, having completed several acquisitions and secured new contracts. The company is poised for further growth and is likely to pursue another transaction in the next 18-24 months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the M&A Director on live transactions, ensuring seamless execution and timely completion.
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential M&A opportunities, sourcing a pipeline of potential deals.
- Evaluate target companies' financial performance, market position, and strategic fit, providing actionable insights to inform decision-making.
- Establish and maintain communication with potential targets, building relationships and negotiating effectively.
- Develop a working rapport with diligence advisors, accountancy firms, investment banks, and corporate finance houses, fostering a network of key stakeholders.
- Manage the administration of M&A deals, including preparing presentations and coordinating projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Report to the board on deal progress, presenting complex financial information and deal structures to stakeholders at various levels.
Requirements
- Accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA/ACA).
- Prior M&A experience, with a proven track record of success.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and negotiate effectively.
- Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
- Demonstrates ability to think innovatively and strategically, driving business growth and expansion.
