About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Marine Compliance Manager to join our team at Forth Ports Limited. As a key member of our Marine Department, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with established standards and regulations within our ports.

The successful candidate will have a sound knowledge of the Port Marine Safety Code and SHEQ Management systems, as well as excellent planning, communication, and analytical skills. You will be able to prioritize work tasks in a dynamic port environment and demonstrate a positive attitude and flexibility to meet the challenges of this role.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the Harbour Masters, Marine Managers, and Deputies are managing and complying with the requirements of the MSMS, as deemed necessary by the Port Marine Safety Code.
  • Leading on Emergency Planning activity to ensure all emergency plans are up-to-date, fully tested, and comply with relevant legislation.
  • Keeping Estuarial Contingency Plans fully updated and reporting any issues/non-compliances to the CHM for action.
  • Assisting stakeholders with keeping their emergency plans updated, tested, and in compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Overseeing the audit function of the Marine Department and issuing of licences for Marine Operations and Towage.
  • Monitoring and liaising with facilities, small harbours, and leisure traffic to ensure obligations with the PMSC are met.
