Commercial Accountant

**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Accountant to join our team at Harland & Wolff. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of our manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Planning and Analysis: Develop and maintain accurate financial models, forecasts, and budgets to ensure the financial success of our projects.
- Cost Accounting: Perform cost accounting activities, including the analysis of production costs, material costs, labor costs, and overhead costs.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to stakeholders, including project reviews and monthly group forecasts.
- Business Partnering: Collaborate with project teams to ensure project revenue, costs, cash inflows, or outflows are accurately captured and reported.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvements within the manufacturing operations.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Qualified Accountant with a minimum of 5 years of post-qualification experience, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
- Skills: Strong understanding of cost accounting principles and practices, proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial analysis tools.
