Logistics People is seeking HGV Class 1 Operators/LGV Class 1 Operators for full-time positions.
Our client is a prominent player in the logistics sector, offering state-of-the-art vehicles, ensuring you have an exceptional driving experience with top-tier equipment.
Required Experience:
A minimum of 6 months of HGV Class 1 driving experience is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
Ambient Transport: You will be responsible for driving goods that do not require temperature control. Long-Distance Hauling: Regular routes will include transporting goods between distribution centers. Retail Deliveries: You will be delivering various products to retail locations. General Freight: Transporting a variety of goods between different locations. Manual Handling: Involves physically lifting and moving items during loading and unloading. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues to maintain vehicle safety. Keep accurate delivery records and comply with company policies and legal standards. Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).Candidate Requirements:
Valid HGV 1/C+E Licence with a minimum of 6 months driving experience. No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR convictions. Current DCPC and Tacho cards are required. Familiarity with Driver's hours and WTD regulations. Ability to perform necessary vehicle checks and report defects accurately. Compliance with on-site health and safety standards.
