About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Work Supervisor to join our Fostering Team at TACT (The Adolescent & Childrens Trust).

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and support a team of social workers in their work with foster families and looked-after children.
  • Provide guidance and oversight to ensure high-quality social work practice and compliance with relevant legislation and regulations.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to fostering and looked-after children.
  • Collaborate with other teams and agencies to ensure effective service delivery and outcomes for children and families.
  • Participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff members and provide training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Post-qualifying experience in fostering or social work with children and families.
  • Up-to-date registration with Social Work England and a relevant social work qualification.
  • Proven track record of working with and on behalf of children, respecting and maintaining their individuality and promoting their positive development.
  • Experience in group work and/or delivery of training.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Fostering National Minimum Standards and Fostering regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and self-organize efficiently.
  • Capable of using electronic records systems and IT effectively, including participating in virtual meetings and webinars.
