An exciting opportunity has emerged for a dedicated Advanced Health Care Assistant to become a vital member of the Sexual Health and Contraception team. The selected candidate will receive comprehensive support to develop confidence in delivering independent care for sexually transmitted infection assessments. This role involves collaboration within a welcoming and supportive team, assisting both clinicians and patients. The position encompasses a blend of clinical and administrative responsibilities, including reception and clerical tasks.

Interview Process

All interviews will be conducted in person at the designated hospital.

Key Responsibilities

The post holder will work closely with clinical management to facilitate the broader development of the Integrated Sexual Health & HIV team, executing the following duties efficiently and effectively. The role requires fostering a compassionate and supportive atmosphere for patients, ensuring that exceptional service standards are consistently upheld.

Education/Qualifications

Essential Criteria

A solid foundation in literacy and numeracy, with proficiency in IT systems.

Desirable Criteria

NVQ level 3 in a health-related field or progress towards it.

Skills/Abilities

Essential Criteria

Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Desirable Criteria

Phlebotomy skills.

Experience/Knowledge

Essential Criteria

Proven experience in supporting patients to enhance their health.

Desirable Criteria

Background in Sexual Health/Contraception or HIV services.
